LUST IN ORLANDO

It was nice to finally see her live. She mixed some of the old in with the new. I was really hoping she would play Ultraviolence or even Gods and Monsters but I did hear a few others of my favorites which was great. She surprised me with Blue Jeans. I was wondering if we would get to hear Summer Bummer, not this time, bummer! It was thoughtful of her to play Florida Kilo in Orlando. I only knew of a few songs off of Lust, it was nice to hear some of the songs for the fifir time in person. Can't wait to listen to her whole album and find the ones she played for us tonight. I would love to see her again. Hope she visits Jacksonville so I don't have to drive so far next time but I would either way. I'm so happy that she wasn't sold out like in the past or else I wouldn't have had a chance to see her. Still feel lucky. Driving into Orlando was easy and parking was stress free and close. Parking is cheaper if you don't pay ahead of time online, except handicap, it was $5 more in person.

A DIFFERENT GROOVE

Came in not knowing what to expect. Venue is a large room with curtains for sound deadening chairs to the rear with pretty comfortable seating. The sound could have been better. Ultimately reviews are about the experience. This concert had a way different vibe then anything I had ever been to. The audience was engaged during the songs but not thunderous applause after each sone was finished. A walk through the audience showed young women hugging and crying on each other's shoulders while singing along. I like art that speaks to me personally. I feel that I witnessed an artist that sings personal songs. My take away was that this was not a performance where everyone is caught up in shared energy. It was a show where the performer let you feel connected to yourself without fear of judgement. I am going to think about this for a while. To me that is the best kind of art. Not sure how the show will register with the masses.

AMAZING VOCALS

She was EXCELLENT. Her voice was ON POINT and never off key. She played most of her songs from NFR and also some classics (RIDE!!), not a lot from ultraviolence at least in Seattle. But she was so good.

LANA BEING LANA

Lana put on a great show to a full house. She intermixed her new material with her old classics keeping everyone in the audience happy. She is the only performer I recall seeing who was able to sing an entire song laying down and still sounding great. Lana even went off script and played a song with her guitar which was a treat. The dancers were fun to watch as were the California sets. Not the most energetic but she does not have to be. Her sound was wonderful as was her band. Highly recommend seeing her if you can, she is a star in the making or made already....

WOULDN'T CALL IT THE NFR TOUR

Between 3 and 4 stars. Lana's voice is truly one of the most beautiful sounds your ears could ever hear. Love her stage presence, her style, her original sound. Loved that Ben Gibbard opened, and their duet. Didn't love that she only played 4? songs from NFR (one being the Doin Time cover - which does nothing for me). While I was happy to hear Black Beauty, Video Games, Born to Die, I absolutely love her new album (one of my favorite albums of any artist) and was pretty disappointed to not hear more songs from it.

POOR SHOW

Rumour has it she’s on heroin & it looked it, she was very tired, gave some audible sighs, played for 70 mins & couldn’t wait to get off. Singing to a banking track. Interested to see how the rest of the tour goes if that’s the beginning.
