The premier performing arts space in Wichita, KS, Century II was first opened in 1969 and saw a recent renovation in 2010, which took less than two months to complete. The distinctive low dome shape was inspired by architect John Hickman's vision of wheat fields (the sand-colored pillars) and the wide blue sky typical of Kansas weather.
